It is important you look at what is expected of you and ensure you have completed this important preparation.

You will need to complete 1- 4 in preparation for the live online scheduled class 1 this week

  1. Online lecture: Leadership Perspectives
  2. Take time to read in-depth one or both chapters in this week’s core readings
  3. Explore the content of the folder Interesting contributions on leadership and search for others through your independent research
  4. Watch the videos:
  • President Obama addressing British Parliament 2011
  • ‘Lead like the great conductors’

These will form the basis of discussions in the scheduled classes

You will need to complete 5-8 in preparation for the live online scheduled class 2 this week

  1. Read through the presentation on Regenerative Leadership
  2. Watch the TED Talk on Regenerative Leadership
  3. Access the website of REAL Sustainability https://realsustainability.org/
  4. Investigate one of the examples of sustainable leadership from this website, or search for one of your choice, and prepare to discuss in scheduled classes

In the live online scheduled classes you will engage in debate of traditional and recent leadership perspectives in the context of contemporary organisations.

This part of the session is where you will be working either live or via time restricted activities and it is an integral part of your interactive learning experience. You have been provided with a consistent set of weekly activities. Depending on your own personal circumstances you find that working on one activity a day works best for you or you may prefer to bunch your learning together over a few set days in the week.
